I did mention 'First Born Son' also. Sorry we had to draw a line but I think I'll have enough to do cleaning up after twenty testers. There was no bribery involved apart from an offer from the widow of a Nigerian General who managed to acquire $US25 million and is looking for a way to get it out of the country - I sent her details on to Steve.

For those who are on the list, Your names have been provided to Matrix and they will send you the test agreement for signature and return. Give them a few days to do this.

As mentioned previously our first task will be to get this tutorial underway. I would like all WiF newbies (that includes me as far as Carriers in Planes are concerned!) to start a personal log of their learning experience with WiF. We need to know at what point you became stuck... what question did you ask... what was the answer... etc. The WiF not-so-newbies can assist by providing answers. Your combined responses will be distilled into a FAQ which will then be source material for the Tutorial. Writing the Tutorial and Manual is an ongoing project. It does not stop until the game goes gold.

NDA and TEch details

Post by Greyshaft »

Greetings Testers,

Firstly, my apologies for my last email. It turns out that some of you had not received my original email notifying you that you were in the Test Team and therefore were did not get the questions about your PC config. I will try and clear my mail records today.

If you aren't sure how to dig out the details on your computer then Mr Stretch (mr.stretch@mchsi.com) is happy to give some free advice. Others also offered - thanks for that - but I'll dump this one on Stretch.

Some people have asked how to get the NDA back to Matrix. Here are some ideas:
* Enter details, print, sign and fax.
* Enter details, print, sign and snail mail.
* Enter details, print, sign, scan, attach to email and send.

Any of these is acceptable.

i happen to have access to a scanner and Adobe Acrobat (not the reader but the full version). I printed, signed, scanned to jpg. Converted to PDF.. without shrinking the scanned image at all (which was large by image standards) the two page PDF was 180K.

And out of nowhere I'd like to add the two most important dates of spring in the USA you may not know about (at least to me)

Tomorrow, Jan 28th, 10am Eastern Time USA. All the remaining Boston Red Sox baseball tickets go on sale. I've never been to Fenway and I'll be in Boston this summer.
Friday, Feb 24th, 10am Central Time USA.. Chicago Cubs baseball tickets go on sale.

OK, it's friday night in the barren frozen wasteland of Illinois, back to the beer.

I sent my own in scanned (separate file for each page) and in BMP format which ended up a bit big (I no longer notice graphic file sizes bellow 50MB these days). I should have thought of PDF (saving from photoshop into a pdf file). Which reminds me that I also always scan in text at 300DPI to be sure it's legible, I hope Matrix didn't end up with a poster sized NDA printout:-) (I don't think BMP files carry resolution data).

Looking forward to testing now (I'll have to start studying the latest RAW soon as I'm a bit out of date).

My NDA should go in tonight.

I have to set up my scanner to send in copy of the NDA.

My brother and I network our computers. There isn't much room for the router, modem, printer & paper, speakers, and 2 desktops.
