Battle of Nations

I just had to get this note out on this battle I;m involved in. I'm using my laptop to type while the battle rages on the desktop.
Playing France 1792 scenario, 2.18; it is now 1809. I have been on friendly terms with Spain since the early years of the game. Spain and France divided Piedmont and the Italian peninsula. Spain also took several Austrian provinces. I just ended a war with Britain that had lasted since the game began. It ended with a French invasion of Ireland and southern England after a feint into Scotland. Fresh off that victory, my good friend Spain warned me to remove my armies bordering his Austrian provinces. I chose not to and he DOW me. At the timie he was art war with Austria (again). Turkey is my ally. So the result is France, Turkey and Austria fighting Spain in Austria. All four countries piled armies into Linz. A battle broke out that involved over 500k men between the four countries. Of course not all units participated in the detailed battle, but all four countries did. Austrian and Turkish units moved by the computer and French by me. It was a major cavalry battle as Spain, Turkey and Austria had mostly horse units. I was evenly divided between horse and foot. THe battle lasted two days with the horse units on all sides doing the majority of the fighting. Although outnumbered by the Spanish initially, reinforecments helped win the day.
Shortly after this battle, another battle pops up in the same province with the same principal players. Although it says similar numbers of units inolved, France has only 5 divisions fighting. THe battle starts with my divisions scattered and spread out over twenty hexes. Of course one of my two artillery divisions gets overrun and captured by the Spanish. It is a very strange battle in deed.
I guess what got me excited was to see a multi-national battle take place. I hadn't seen one with more than three countries. It is very neat. [:D]
Okay I've calmed down now and will go finish the battle.
