scenario length?

Hello all,
HTTR looks very interesting, but I was wondering: (roughly) how long does it take to complete scenarios? From the sound of it they vary a great deal, from about a day (in game units' time) to days (a campaign). About how many hours would that translate to in front of the PC? Can you finish a shorter scenario in a few hours?
Thanks, and I apologize if this question has been covered already--I didn't find it in a search.

From my Mini-Guide (tips) thread. You could play a 12 hour scenario in 30-120 minutes. It really depends on your personal style (amount of micro-management, amount of analysis/planning, pausing) ... Few games are as dynamically adaptable to personal play styles as RDOA/HTTR/COTA. I hope that helps.

From MarkShot:
Here is the list:
{link to thread removed since thread was lost after forum hacking incident}
Time frames (length of scenario simulation) range from ~12 hours to ~10 days.
Numbers of units (individually controllable or combinable as forces) range from ~15 to ~200+.
Number of objectives (points awarded for completion or duration of occupation) ranges from ~2 to ~15.
Reinforcement time frame windows can be as tight as ~30 minutes or as long ~10 hours.
Some have randomized drop/landing zone locations so that you can not know where the enemy will be.
Many have selectable reinforcement levels for both sides along with adjustable weather and supply levels.
Forces vary between foot infantry, motorized infantry, mechanize infantry, and armor along with all the possible combinations.
Side roles vary from fully defensive to fully offensive and multi-roled where you may need to defend strongly at one location like a bridge so that the follow on force can cross it and carry on the offensive elsewhere.

Ive just played a 3 day battle in about 2 to 3 hours.
Sometimes I had it on the fastest speed most of the time I had it at normal or the middle speed.
It depends whats happening. At times my men were commited and some where having problems. Howver I neede my reinforcements to help out and as there was nothing I could really do until them I put the game on the fastest speed. Other times orders needed to be given so I run at a slow speed. If things are in the balance I run at the slowest if things are moving along OK I may speed it up.

As others said, it depends.
Usually, I can play 24 hrs in game in an hour in front of the PC. Game plays at roughly 60:1, but I have to pause or slow down sometimes.
Smaller battles can bemore intense and sometimes be played at frantic speed. On the other hand large scenarios, like the full campaigns, play slowly. You have more to take care of, more to think of and, in my case, my 5 years old PC (800 Mhz, 128 MB RAM) cannot handle the load.
All in all, a day can be simulated in roughly an hour of play time.
Cheers,
JeF.

Thank you, that does help a lot. Sorry I missed it. I did noticed your guide, and that was quite helpful as well--it gives a real flavor for the game.
I think I just came across a lot of reviews talking about scenario time and it wasn't clear if they meant the time depicted in the game, or actual time spent playing the game.

I like playing at slow speed throughout. So for the Arnhem historical scenario you may be looking at a couple of weeks playing daily 2-3 hours+.
