how do you know if the beta has updated the file ive got v1.1 and downloaded the beta file but still shows v1.1 when games loads

the updated version will have 1.2.18 on the front of your screen when the game loads.

doesnt seem to be working whether i open it in the cog file or not ,should i just wait for the 1.2 official patch and when will that be?

NO point in waiting, mate. If you've downloaded the latest version, open the zip file it comes in and doubleclick the only icon in the folder. It's much enhanced (and much more enjoyable) over version 1.1. Then you'll be able to play online with other people online instead of the ole' AI.

I've been out of touch. Is the latest beta the one released on 10/14?

Interesting you should note this.

When I bought the game the first thing I did was download the 1.2.18 patch. I executed it and started playing, only to find out it hadn't "patched."

I executed it again, and it took.

it may be a path issue ?

did you download it so it is in the same folder as the COG game ?

I have not had any trouble with the patches but have seen where some did ???


hmmm, make sure when you open the patch, that it is not making another Matrix folder with in your Matrix folder (WitP used to do that to me all the time)

ive tried everytihng i can think of, ive noticed ther was a problem with australian games purchased
games maybee thats it but i still cant get it to work, ill just wait for 1.2 and hope that works

Yes, if you have the Ausralian version, the serial number have not been included in the latest beta 1.2.18. Erik has indicated in another thread that the Aussie serial numbers will be added soon [:'(]
