I see no reason to complain about this. With it turned "on", it's a random occurrence. No allowance is made for historical breakdown percentages -- that's WAY too much to ask. Remember, we're talking about the technology of WWII, here. Motorized vehicles had only existed for 30 years or so. These were fragile machines.

Frankly, I think too many WWII gamers expect modern standards for many capabilities of vehicles and weapons. This popular misconception has ruined many games.

Ah yes, But WHAT if we COULD make breakdowns based on which country had more of them? Mike.....? And base it by year also why your at it, oh and can I have fries with that?[:D]

oooh, and a setting in the preference screen for breakdowns that can be adjusted per game:

ARTY vs ARMOUR 120% US 110% GE

BREAKDOWNS 50% US 90% GE

Two minutes? That's a worlds record there; as most of the kids I know are kicking the back of the seat, screaming, and carpping their pants at that point.

iirc i read in the manual that breakdown percentages are indepent to nation when playing with nat'l characteristics on

the one i recall is the canadians supposed to have a higher incidence of breakdowns that other countries for the sam equipment
