That happens if the game or some windows component is not installed correctly. Here is what I would suggest:

1. Uninstall PureSim
2. reboot
3. Disable any anti-virus s/w (temporarily)
4. Reinstall PureSim
5. Reboot

Hmm. This is a new one.

Try this, download this file:

http://www.puresim.com/puresim_121_debug.zip

Then rename your current PureSim2k5.exe to PureSim2k5.sav
(Its in your C:\Matrix Games\PureSim Baseball 2005 Gold Edition folder)

Next, extract the PureSim2k5.exe in the zip file you just downloaded into your C:\Matrix Games\PureSim Baseball 2005 Gold Edition folder.

Then, run the game. Hopefully we will get a more verbose error message and it should give you the option to send an email to me with the contents of the error so I can analyze it.

Shaun

OK, it looks like your Micorosoft database components are corrupt. Try this:

Go to a windows command prompt and change into this directory:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO

Then in that directory type:
regsvr32 dao360.dll

You should get a message telling you that it was successful. Now try running the game again.

If that doesn't work I found a page on Microsoft.com where you can get a download and install for the latest version of the Microsoft database engine:
