Multiple Displays and G-Forces

Hey, i am looking to make a few suggestions about making the game a bit more realistic.

1) is it possible to make G-Forces more realistic? - I think when in atmosphere the screen should darken when approaching 10-G's or so. Or even better, allow a new line in ship DEFs that let you customize the G-Limit, G-Cutoff (allows you to customize the curve of Blackout), and Negetive G-Limit, and Negative G-Cutoff, for redouts.

2) im running a computer with 2 and soon 3 displays, and at present the game only displays on my primary monitor. I am wondering if there is a way to rig the game to display on multiple screens in such a way to allow for a wider field of view. For example, if i get my machine to run 3 displays, would it be possible to let the Left screen display a view 45-degrees to the left, while the right screen displays a view 45-degrees to the right, and the center screen straight on with the HUD and what not. Ultimately i would like to build a computer and have it be a dedicated Starshatter machine, complete with the 4 monitors, full HOTAS, and Rudder Pedals, etc.

Salutations,

Darn.... I'm still learning how to use the EVENTS in the games editor. [:D]

What you want to do sounds compelling and cool though. Good luck. [:)]

That is overkill! Starshatter isn't that complex simulation!

Seems complex enough to me. If i decide to build a Viper cockpit or something, i think it would fit perfectly. The only thing that would give me pause is if the game could be displayed on multiple monitors.

the multi display thing is, Im affraid, not going to happen. Not so much on milo's part but more of it is microsoft problem. You see, directX does not support multi-display's. And since Ss is a windows software it uses directX. Do if someone could port it to OpenGL, etc; that would be a diffrent story...

(I wanted multi-display's myself...)

Well that sucks.

I wonder if DirectX will ever support multiple displays.

Either it will when Windows Vista comes available, Vista won't have multiple monitor support at all, Vista will work only in software mode or Vista uses OpenGL. Did I miss anything?

Nah, hes saying that those are the possibilities
Either:
- Vista wont support Multiple Monitor Suport
- Vista will only work in Software
- Vista will use OpenGL
- or DirectX Will support Multiple Monitors for Vista.
