Taken off the BBC website, this is a piece of a Russian poster meant to honour Russian war veterans. What's wrong with it?

Moscow stung by US warship gaffe
Russian Veterans' Day poster showing USS Missouri

A Moscow official said about 20 of the posters had gone up

The authorities in Moscow have hastily removed posters congratulating Russian war veterans which mistakenly showed the American warship USS Missouri.

The posters were taken down on Wednesday - just hours before Defender of the Motherland Day.

The Russian defence ministry said it did not produce the posters.

A Moscow city hall official said the design "should have been shown to specialists who can distinguish one battleship from another".

A defence ministry spokesman, Vyacheslav Sedov, said "it was a civilian firm that produced the poster, and the people who made it were simply incompetent".

"We do have similar ships, beautiful ships. They should have used one of those," he added.

They should have give the job to designers that know their military stuff, like me [:D]

Have to call Putin now ...

yeah that Sukhoi's board number for some strange reason matches one which crashed resently at Air Show in France.
That poster caused an outrage actually, soboteurs were found, bunch of clueless computer graphic designer women they were lol. That US battleship apparently looked like missile cruiser "Slava", except from that angle apparently it looked purtier. In good old days such things guaranteed a few dozen sabotage and spying charges and minimum 25 years "up north".
