Many of these units didn't operate the same aircraft all the time. Also they didn't arrive in theater at the same time. Also, some units changed ships, and some units operated from land for various periods. Can you indicate when they arrive in PTO (that is what we need since then players can keep the ship)? Can you indicate what the upgrade plane was? And in the case a unit operates from more than one ship, can you indicate what you think is the more important assignment?

Join the FAALM* today! Let FAA sdq's arrive as reinforcements independently of the flat-tops!! Simulate the late-war expansion of RN CV capacity through upgrades!!! Institute houserule requiring RN CVs to be withdrawn with full airgroups!!!!

*(Fleet Air Arm Liberation Movement)
**Disclaimer: FAALM takes no responsibility for FUBARs caused by the morphing CV sqd thingy.

Either you do not understand our game's code mechanism re carrier planes, or you are a Japanese agent!!!

It appears that a squadron NOT assigned to a carrier is not "carrier trained." See the manual. There is no field for a moder to use to assign this value - it is automatic. Arrive as a reinforcement? It is "carrier capable" but not "carrier trained." It WILL work - but with higher attrition. [So you want the Allies to have higher attrition ? See what I mean about being a Japanese agent?]

Hi

One thing I've noticed in reading up on FAA in the Far East is that some squadrons sent out were sent out as additional sqdns on a carrier and then off loaded at Ceylon or where ever. Would this work ie overload a carrier then when it arrives as a rienforcement remove the extra squadron to shore - or would it confuse the program ? just a thought ?

Hmm, after conferring , the FAALM politburo have decided, faced with the stark choice between the charge of idiocy and being branded an enemy organisation, to opt for the latter
