Turrets on Hardpoints?

Hey,
Once again, I have a question.
Is it possible, when deffing a ship, to place a turret onto a hardpoint.
My set of starfighters have module hardpoints, much like a Veritech, and i am trying to think of the best way to let the pilot switch them out, for the most modular system - and hardpointed turrets seems to be the best idea, IMHO. Many Thanks ^_^.

If you mean having a turret in place of a missile/rack, then I think (75% sure here) that the answer is no. Unless.....well maybe it could be done but I do know that fighter/etc can have turrets (My Master Bomber ewas the 1st to have one and then milo make the thunderbolt.) Maybe it coudl work...It would kabe to be RnD'd by T'n'E. (researched and developed by trial and error).
Catch me online and remind me and I'll see what I can do about getting it to work.

I believe this has been discussed before. But I don't remember when or on what forum [8|]

Yes, it is very possible. I just ran a quick check on a custom fighter using a custom turret from my attack helicopter and it worked like a champ. Just add the name of your turret def (in quotes) to your hardpoint listing like you would any other missile.
