Found a fix for zones

The default 11 man defensive formations that come with the game are set for American field sizes (for some reason much smaller than shown in the game) but the offensive formations use the canadian field size. This leaves the corners always lined up on the inside of the WRs and easy prey to corner or out routes. When I switched one of the formations to be more spread the defense responded better.

YES!

The 2D playmaker screen in the PDS takes some getting used to. Forget the outer hashmarks and cover closer to the edges.

I have tried editing formations (def), it was last night, but it seems that DB alinement can be changed, but not the LB or DL. I would probably edit every base defensive formation that came with the game if they can be.

You should be able to change the DL. I know this because I accidently moved a DL to a safety position behind the LB's so he started the play trying to rush the QB from 20 yards downfield. It was funny to watch, not exactly sure what I did, but he definately lined up in a non standard spot.

Go to field size and change it to Canadian and you can move the DBs further out.

Another thing to look at with flooding the zones problem is that it seems the first man into the zone gets the attention of the defender. I noticed this with a TE hitting a deep zone before the WR who was going deep. The safety kept jumping up to cover the TE while the WR blazed past him a second later. I made the offensive play to have the TE wait a second before going into the route and the safety covered the WR deep because he was the first to get into the zone. Something to consider when making offensive and defensive plays.
