OT: Program Question

I have a game I've been playing since 1994 and cannot play it on WinXP. I think I remember a while back someone posting about a program that is out "there" *Star Trek theme music* somewhere that will let programs from Win95/98 run on WinXP.
Does anybody remember and know what the name of it is?
Thanks.

Actually, I believe if you right-click on the program icon or shortcut, then select properties, then go to the compatability tab, you can then check a box that will activate a drop-down that will allow you to "run in compatability mode for Windows 95"

No that won't work - tried it before. I know someone a way back mentioned a program that will allow even old DOS programs to be played on a WinXP platform but for the life of me I can't remember it at all what it was called.
So, if anybody knows, I'd be very grateful.

Any idea how easy it is to use and if it will affect current programs on a computer? I currently have my baseball game on my laptop but just want to be prepared if it ever goes down so I can continue my baseball league.

I use DosBox, it is just a DOS emulator and shouldn't affect anything on your computer. I am slightly computer literate and I had it up and running in about an hour, including getting the screen size correct, etc. I beleive iot is a very popular program for running old games with.

No sorry, it's the old Sierra games Baseball Pro '94. I've had a career season going now for over 10 years.

I use DosBox as well. And it works very well. All you need to know about this programme is explained in 15 or 20 lines.
