I would like to play another game PBEM war game. What good war games are worth looking at?

I am sure there are plenty Mr Tiger but depends on what you are interested in . I play only 2 wargames and another which I am learning. Wir is one , whilst Russo german war41-44 is another and finally Agw from the same company.[8D]

i'm personally loving WPO - the interface and getting the little details down is a bee-atch at first, but 1 day per turn will keep you busy for a loooong time! once you figure out what yer doing you can shoot off turns in 20 minutes so it's easy to juggle a few games at once. i'l admit it was hard for me to get into at first but now i'm addicted!

I have read the reviews of these 2 games, how suited are they to PBEM and could you let me know of your thoughts plz?

I'm in kinda the same position which is why I'm lurking this board. My favorite is the Matix Edition of Pacific War. Don't know if that's your taste or not.

I can understand that. I have the same view of WiR, but I'm trying to break out of it. I got WiR with 20 Classic Wargames in the late 90s and never installed it. Recently installed the Matrix Edition and looked it over a bit.

I bought Pacific war as there was a time I bought all of Gary Grisbys (some never played) games as felt he was looking after us. Pitty he has dropped his east front game.

I tried to play with it a few weeks ago but it seemed to crash all the time while looking at airgroups.

Well lets see, russo german war is made by schwerpunkt , i have owned it since its release and if you carry out a web search you will find out more about it and several screenshots. Personally its extremly difficult to find opponents and i and 2 others are the only ones left fighting this game it appears.

But in saying that if you like wir then the eastern front goes into huge details in Rosso german war and it takes ages to play the full campaign. I believe you are an honest fellow Mr Tiger and the ability to see your opponent moves and dispositions can be seen if you so wish in this game by looking in your opponents turns phase.
I dont do this and enjoy the game very much.
So dont buy before you look further into it , you can also view more about russo on the wargamer.com forum. You never know one day i might see you onit asking to find opponents .

I have looked at many links and found the game very intresting. Not being able to find players for PBEM game would be a problem as thats how I wish to play the game.

I take it that being able to look at your opponents moves and dispositions is a fault in the game and is regarded as a cheat?
