Sort of POLL: What do you use to work on mods?

Do you use the editor or some other program?

It's editor for me. I don't trust MS Excell.

I mainly use the editor. But for some things you MUST use WITPExcel - or you cannot get at the field. And WITPExcel works well just to look at multiple records at the same time. It is a miracle for working with the PWHex file (if you have a working copy - I didn't for a long time).
But there are problems (as with anything). WITPExcel has issues with writing to certain lines in the location file - so always use the editor there.
The reason is that it divides the location file into sections (e.g. HQ is in a different chart) and it does not do so perfectly correctly.
