CHS Scen155...EAGLE AND THE SUN: Spruance(A) vs Tigercat(J)

After starting a half dozen standard Scenario 15 campaign games WitP seemed to be getting a little repetitive. Here Texas Tigercat and I are starting a CHS v1.06 Scenario 155 on Andrew Brown's v5.1 extended map. This map is very well done and extends the war from Aden in the Middle East to the Panama Canal. Not only is the map different but the Allied and Japanese OOBs have been dramatically changed in an attempt to achieve greater historical accuracy. Even the weapons effects and the aircraft characteristics have been modified substantially in what feels like a new simulation of WWII in the Pacific. The old tried and tested strategies of WitP Scenario 15 will not work the same here.
This AAR will not only provide a narrative of all the combat across the Pacific and Allied strategy but I will attempt to contrast and compare the differences and similarities in playing both vanilla WitP Scenario 15 and CHS Scenario 155.
Here are the settings:
Witp v1.795
CHS V1.06
Scenario 155
Andrew Brown's v5.1 extended map
