How do you mine the size 9 port that your TF uses to load mines. Exp. how do you mine Pearl harbor when you are using it to load mines on your ships? The only way I found is going to the states and loading the mines and then come back to PH. Cant you load and mine the same hex?

That particular routine is very messed up, but there is a workaround.

Say you want to lay a minefield at Pearl Harbor. You load your minelaying TF there. And then you set its home base to, say, Midway, and tell it to sail there. Then do the turn. Your TF won't make it all the way to Midway in one turn, so you find it mid-ocean, and set its destination hex (NOT its base hex) to Pearl Harbor. Do the turn, the TF will turn around, go back to Pearl, and lay its mines.

The key is that you can't mine the TF's base hex. It sucks, but there it is.

There is a slightly quicker way. If you load the mines in PH, set the home base to Midway and then set destination to PH it will lay the mines before leaving.
