Well the problem is that a team should be playing half their games at home. That doesn't seem to be the case. On top of that, you should at least play each divisional opponent at least once (it should probably be twice with the longer schedule in this case). Scheduling is something that is fundamental to any football game.

Has anyone tried editing the schedules?

Ok, I can understand what you mean by that. Maybe the reason why David didn't make the game have balanced schedules is because with such vast differences in league structures that it would be very difficult for him to make balanced schedules. And with leagues with Odd number of teams, its even harder to get perfectly balanced schedules. He probably figured that 3rd party developers could easily handle the Scheduling duties and let the users schedule there own games.

21SEC, I'm actually working on a schedule utility for the game, but its taking me some time too make it work right.

I don't even think he owns the game

I'm having the same problem with the 1959 NFL league. My Steelers are scheduled to play the Packers three times in a 14 game season, all on the road. While this would have been nice last season its a bit frustrating. I tried generating new scheldules but this imbalance showed up every time.

This is obviously an issue that needs attention. I am suprised that this is the first time its been reported.

Didn't the NFL only play a 12 game season during 1959? I may be wrong on that, would need too look that up.

As I said before, I'm working on a Utility as we speak to edit schedules, but its taking me a little longer then I thought. Also, at the rate things are going, my utility will only be useful with Custom made leagues because it seems the Stock League Databases are designed slightly differently then the Custom ones.

I completed a custom 40 team league but the scheduling makes it unplayable at this point. Hopefully there will be at least a manual scheduler in a future patch. Tried the scheduler.txt utility from fbmax, but when it opens it gives me a "something is wrong, we're sorry for the inconvenience error". Anyone else having any luck with schedules at this point?

Hey guys, just a quick update on my Schedule program. At this point, the untility can function, but I'm still having some problems with the program. Right now, it can load needed League file, but it only displays the ID number for each teams matchup. I wanted it too be able too display the actual teams name but I haven't figured out to do that yet. Also, I'm trying to add a feature that allows you too print out a .txt file of a Particular Teams schedule if the user wants too. This has also delayed my progress of releasing my utiltity as I'm having trouble trying to get Team names to display right in the program.

Just good to know that you are still working on it.Though I can't seem to get ANY utility from fbmax to work. This includes the database viewer and scheduler.txt.I'm sure it's something missing on my part, but I'm not saavy enough to figure out too much. In other words, the problem is probably between the chair and the keyboard.I may have to wait for a patch to get it done in the future. **crosses fingers**

Hey Rottweiler, where you able to use the DataConstant Utility I made for MaxFB? It allows you too adjust Gameplay settings sort of like how Madden has its slider settings. The only other files that you need to make it run is the vb6 runtime files, but I think almost all up to date XP OS's should have those in Windows already.

That is another thing I'm trying to do while making my utilities. I'm trying to make them pretty easy to install and use on anybodies system. So you don't have to have the latest version of Access or Jet Database to make it function.

I have a small league right now so it might not be too hard for me to make my own schedules [:)]
