General questions and comments

Hi, I really like COG however I have a few problems or comments
1. How do I stop AI from fighting my detailed battles? I can't find the option to turn this off.
2. The game does not seem to be "anti French" enough for me. The entire reason for much of the conflict of the period was the French Revolution however when I run other nations I find all of europe dog piles me. As Austria in less then 10 months I am at war with everyone except Prussia and Turkey while France is free to do what ever it wishes.
more later

Mogami,
On detailed battles the player's only participation is unit set up; the AI plays both sides after that. The wisdom is that morale and upgrades are paramount.
I think that every country gang piles on you because you bought the game. No really, I think that's true. The AI is not interested in playing against itself. The function of the AI is to challenge and entertain you, so it does. However, I've noticed that although I can't seem to avoid being at war, the other countries are in swirling conficts between each other independent of any wars with me. I've seen three separate wars/coalitions going at it at once!! Not the European history I remember.

Hi, I have fought hundreds of detailed battles. I'm just wondering why in my current game the AI is fighting them instead.

(Detailed battles are the combat on the hex grid.)
If you have the "Tactical Advisor" turned on, then you won't have the option of playing your detailed battles. Please check to see if this is the case. If it's still not working, please let me know.
After we release the patch we are working on now we are planning a third official patch to add a few features. One of the things we're considering addressing in the features patch is adding some rules to force COG to follow more historical patterns. The sort of things we have in mind are:
* a table of provinces into which each nation cannot move units (or for which there is some large penalty if it does)
* total limits on the size of each nation's army and naval strength
* a list of forbidden alliances/protectorates/DOW's
If we do these things, they will be in modable-friendly scenario files and so players could design a customized 1805 scenario in which Austria, Prussia, and England (say) are all forbidden from DOW on each other, and in which Sweden can only move its units into 4 different provinces outside of Sweden.
This is all still tentative -- we're considering many options for the features patch, weighing the requests of fans with the amount of work each item would take.

Because your charisma draws them even beyond the borders of war?
