Hello There,
Been lurking around here for awhile and damn if i'm not jazzed up about this game. Been looking at HTTR on the shelf for quite awhile now[along with a couple of others, life just gets in the way too damn much] and finally took it down and broke it in. I have only played the tutorials[twice] and raid on renkum but i'm hooked, i just want to know who gets the blame for the lost hours of sleep coming up[;)]. I can count on one hand how many games gave me the "one more turn syndrome" or for HTTR "just one more try, i'll play on fast" . Hell I'm a bargain bin guy, i'm never in a hurry to get a game...... but dammit HURRY, i'm willing to pay full price...HONEST. The game has a fresh approach and IIIIIIIII LIke It, my favorite thing about it is i get to decide my level of involvement. A little let the A.I. handle this while i micromanage over here, see i know my own limitations and when the scenerio's get big, i get waxed, this will make the bigger one's more enjoyable for me. So Arjuna "GET THAT BUG"[:D] and Markshot great job on the mini-guide it's been very helpful. I imagine customer satisfaction is part of the enjoyment of doing what you do, so just thought i'd let you'll know i'm enjoying the hell outta your product. I do have a question, have the system specs been released. My stuff is old and that is the only thing that would hold up my purchase. I have a p3 1ghz, 128meg vidcard, 512 ram. [crossing fingers].

"just one more try, i'll play on fast" .

You hit the nail on the head. I also have that feeling. I often play "fast", to get as much action as I can get in my limited game time.

About your system, I'm not an expert but I wouldn't see it as a problem. I currently play HttR on a sub-GHz, 128 MB RAM system. CotA will be a demanding more, CPU-wise. So things will get a bit slower.

budd,

Thanks for the feedback. Always nice to hear.

BTW I like your quote from Buddha.

Re Specs. No probs with video card nor the RAM. It will run on a P3 1G. I know our base level testing machine is a P3 800. However, I think you will be a littel frustrated with the speed. COTA does run slower than HTTR. It's doing more. One thing I hope to do next week is to optimise the line of sight code so as to reduce the number of LOS checks. This may help. But I would recommend a faster CPU nonetheless. All the best and enjoy HTTR.[:)]

Glad to hear it. My pleasure.

As long as Dave has brought up philosopy, remember the Chuang Tze story about the archer and the chest of gold. Focusing too much on the desired outcome will distract your focus from the center and your actions in the instantaneous present. :)

hi

Screw it, as it's not that easy to frustrate me i think i'll just pull the trigger and do an impulse buy anyway [target date for new comp is not until next year]. Keep it quiet though, or you'll ruin by bargain bin rep. Will there be any settings to lower to get better performance? guess i could take it over to my brother-in-laws and hog his computer[:D] haven't done that in a long time, where is that sleeping bag again. I need an alienware or falcon, damn those real world obligations, DAMN THEM I SAY[;)] . I know i'm new so i suppose passing the hat around here won't work.Thx for the welcome, really looking forward to your product. By the way can a brother get a discount[8D]
