Gentlemen, I'm very excited: downloading the game right now![8D]
I wonder, being a lurker on the WPO for some time now and having read the quickstart tutorials: is this the best way to get into the game because I also understood that some beginners were at a loss the moment the tutorial's ending. Any suggestions at how best to tackle those beginners problems?

Your link was the tutorial I mentioned in my post. So I guess I've goto follow the tutorial and "Ask, ask, and ask again... Tanker and we humble beta minions will answer your questions"?

My advise would be to start playing some small scenario with AI to get the feeling and then switch to big one with PBEM. This way you won't get bad vs-AI-playing habbits. And tutorials are very usefull expecially squadron composition.

Read AARs. The more the better.

Run a campaign with AI fighting AI. Watch.
