First of all: the screenies all look great

and I can't wait to re-try this puppy. After spending almost two years on WitP it's almost time to return to Fortress Europa. My question is are we going to be able to "predict" the weather. Nothing frustrated me more than spending an hour or two planning several dozen escorted raids to as many targets and then seeing 90% of them scrubbed

do to weather. I know that this was a real life problem but If I knew there was a 85% chance of showers/t-storms I'd probably stand my guys down (ie no missions planned).
If this was answered somewhere else: sorry[8|]

no hassles mate, if you don't see something, ask away
I am not sure what we will or can do with the weather system in the game as it stands now, but we will look into it
in BoB, since it is short enough, we could already try and go with a real weather pattern, I got the info for every day of the battle, but for BTR, that is a little too much to try and do
so over all, we will see, but can't promise much yet
glad you liked the shots, you should see some of the stuff we not showing yet

Ya big tease [:'(] You know, even if we could see the cloud patterns mid-Atlantic we might be able to fudge what will happen the next day. That is if the clouds (and weather) move like real life[8|].
*psst* you can show more stuff. I wont tell[:D]

Well, if they're "your" programmers... Oh, never mind. I'll wait. But not patiently!

HS,
While I would love to have the weather move in fronts, I would be overjoyed if my weather officer would give me a blasted forecast. I.E.
Today: clearing
Tomorrow: clearing
D+2: building
D+3: building
etc
with some reasonable link between the forecast and the weather for the specified day.
I understand that weather forecasting was iffy during the war, but they had SOME idea of what the weather would be like on the next day!
When I'm planning missions on an iffy day, I'd be a lot less willing to send marginal units on a raid if I knew there would be a good probability that the weather would be better the next day. Similarly, I would be far more willing to send out tired units on a marginal day if I had a forecast that said the next 3 days were likely to be heavy clouds.

Roger and I agree
all we can really do right now is look at the system and see what we can find out about how it works
my biggest complaint with the weather is how far off it can be, you are told it is 13% and half the map is full of clouds, you are told it is 40% and less then a 3rd of the map is full
also don't like how 10-12% or under, at 10,000 ft can effect take offs and landings
that is not "HEAVY" clouds, that is not bad weather
but when we get that area of the code, we will see what we can see

When we get to the weather part of the code, we will "see what we can see". Ha, get it? Weather? See what we can...ah forget it![:D]
