Wave File Problem

Hi Folks,
After some time taking time to arrange everything for a wedding, new home... I have retaken the game. It has been installed from the beginning, since last week I made a complete hard disk format. So I installed 1.00 and the 1.10 patch (skipping the previous patches).
In the very first scenario, Soviet Tank Rush, I have a problem when the first engagement. A message is showm telling me: "Not a valid Wave file". Then the game hangs and I have to quit. It happens all the time that I try. This problem didn't happen with the previous patches.
Do I have to install the previous patches first?
I tried to find the FPG_Report.txt but it is not in the main FPG folder.
Thanks for the help,
Emilio.

Emilio,
Can you post a screen shot of the contents of the audio folder? I'd like to see if anything is missing. It is odd that a sound file is causing a crash but anything is possible. The other option would be to open a DOS window, change to the audio folder then type dir>audio.txt. Then send that file.
We'll try to get you running again.

Emilio,
Everything there looks ok. Do any other scenarios hang? Can you get a screen grab of the error message so I can see when it is happening. Are the other sounds being heard like the intro drum roll or any on map sounds?
Thanks for the screen. We'll keep digging on this one.

Hi,
Yes, it happens in "Scen 2: Red Hammer" too. The drum roll, intro and other sounds are played fine. Is just when a combat happens.
Here is you screenshot (a small one since a complete one was too big).
Thanks,
Emilio.

Hmmm, does it seem to happen when there is a hit? A miss? A unit is first spotted and it is trying to say "Combat, wait out."?
Thanks, Rob.

Emilio,
In the audio folder if you just double click any of the files, do they play. Also try to play the file called "Med Gun.wav" and "Leg.wav". Those are the only two sound files with a different sampling rate compared to the rest. All assume from you pic that the 2a recon unit was firing at the 3/3 Tank unit, is that right?
Let us know how things are going.

Hi Rob and Jim,
Sorry for the long delay. Just arranging the latest details for my wedding. 6 days to go...
Ok, finally I found the problem. It was a file called "Battle_background2". I played every single file located into the Audio folder and it was the only one who failed to be played. So I made a test, first copying that file to another folder, then deleting it from Audio folder and making a copy of "Battle_background1" and renaming it as "Battle_background2".
After that I have played some turns in different scenarios without any sign of the problem.
Thanks for your help. If you want I can send to you the "corrupted" file.
Regards,
Emilio.
