I'm now working on AO USA classes and have a doubt to make the art-ship side.

The AO Patoka was converted to dirigible use and re-classified AV-9.
I have some pictures around june 1940, in those photos the Patoka yet have the dirigible tower.
Anyone knows if the ship have this tower or not in dec.41 ????

The ONI recognition manual from early 1942 still shows the tower. Best I can do - you should have the manual soon.

I hope so Don!! [:)] Thanks.
I think will work on a ship with two versions, with and without tower.

BTW, the pdf you show is the real ONI???

Yes Sir - ONI warship recognition manual of early 1942 (cover letter is dated March 22, 1942). Scanned into PDF format.
