Sub Warfare-- specifically US

US Submarines influence on the Pacific War could be argued to be the single greatest element in Japan's defeat.
Tonnage sank by US Subs in merchant and even warships was decisive. Japan's war production was cut in half, through loss of raw materials. By early 1944, US subs had run out of targets.
Will "supply" for the "homeland" be modeled just like for other outlying bases? How will supply effect production?
