QB/Receiver timing

It seems the QB has issues with hitting receivers before they have hit full acceleration. Five yard ins and quick slants always seem to be incompletions where the QB leads the receiver by too many yards.

Funny you mention this, because I was about to post about how QBs never seem to be able to complete long bombs even when the receiver is in perfect position. I'm starting to wonder if the receivers just plain stink in this game.
