Well what do you know

Hi all,
I used to play WiF (5th edition) in the early nineties. Great game. I remember ADG announcing the computer version.
Turned out to be vaporware (more or less). Then I lost track years ago. I accidentilly discovered this forum and the progress currently being made by Matrix on WiF.
Wow, there is gonna be a Computer Wif after all [:D]
Fantastic. I have been reading up on WiF in the forum and am amazed how close the ties are between
Shannon and the forum members. Great cooperation. This is all looking very promising indeed.
If Matrix manage to pull it off this time (and it sure looks that way), I am a sure customer! I am really looking forward to seeing my old board game favorite on my PC. I will be lurking regularly on this forum to keep in touch with development.

P.S. Currently I am into HoI2/DD by Paradox. Good game, but very buggy.

Welcome aboard.
Be sure to let me know your opinions about what you see happening here. As I have said before: "I am writing this code for you, the players."
I frequently post requests for forum members to review and critique designs before I write code. However asking for changes to design decisions that have already been made are patiently listened to - but they need overwhelming justification for me to go back and rewrite functioning code.
I recommend giving the directory thread at the top of the forum a quick read. It provides a table of contents for the last 10 months.

Yes indeed...what do you know.
Like the OP, I'd kind of given up on this.
Maybe ADG should change thier October 21st, 2003 Computer Game update to something more...well...up to date. That is where I checked every so often, and when I saw no new info just thought it was dead...I know the matrix link is there, I just figured if something was happening ADG would let us know.
I'll take the time to get caught up on where you are and then try to be of some help.
Thx for the hard work I can see you have all been doing
Now back to reading...

ADG are long to update their website.
There should be an update soon, I've read this on WiF Discussions yahoo groups today.

Thx for the welcome.
You are right, there is a lot to digest here...
Plus I have to get back into WiF mode, it's been a while.
Anyway, I'm very excited with what I have seen so far, and I know I've only just scratched the surface.
Good to hear ADG may do an update soon, Froonp.
