Supply usage of Ships & Planes....

Has anyone tested these and come up with concrete numbers?
I know land units are roughly one sp per squad per month, 1/2 for disabled units.
Ships - However when ships refresh from port how many SP's are used ...is it based on the number of devices on the vessel or some other formula?
Air - How is aircraft supply usage calculated?

Good questions.

Planes and ships are very different (which is not necessairily a bad thing - they are different).
Planes use supplies several different ways and times:
1) There is a division between the unit with the planes and the unit that supports planes - and BOTH these units draw supply - just like other land units do. If BOTH are not present, with a technical exception, planes won't fly any mission. [The exception involves floatplanes and flying boats - and either submarines rated to support them - or AVs - and I just figured out how to do a sub aircraft tender!!!]
2) There is ALSO a supply draw if planes actually fly a mission. This varies with the mission - and the weight rating of the weapon. Plane weapons are in special slots - and they are rated in pounds: presumably you divide by 2000 and round up to get supply points.
Air units calculate operational (vice normal unit maintenance) supply when they fly a mission. Some planes fly 24 hour missions - so they only draw supply once a day. Other planes sometimes fly 2 times in a day - drawing supply each time. [Planes can fly once in the 12 hour night phase or twice in the day phase - but a player normally does not control if they fly twice - he just assigns the mission and AI decides.]
Ships rearm when they refuel - as a rule. There is probably an algorithm that decides how big the magazine is - based on the weapon type - and since these weapons weights are often 0 or 9999 it is NOT using that field!
My guess would be something like: weapon number times salvos times effect divided by 2000 = supply points (because effect is supposed to be weapon weight in pounds). But it might be "ship type factor times fuel = supply points" or some other algorithm.
