Hi there,

Quick question: As SU, I had about 60 land units in Chechoslovakia and attacked to my opponent, in western Germany (it has a fort), who had about 40+ units. When I later saw the combat analysis, I noticed that his land units didn't have the +1 evasion that the manual says the defending land forces have in a fort. Any ideas why this happened? It's spring, and the attack was (of course) a general attack. What am I missing?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks for the save games - here is the reason the fort bonus is not in effect:

The German fort in W. Germany is void once E. Germany is no longer under German control. This is intended. Mostly the idea is to give the German player a reason to defend both areas rather than just pile everything into W. Germany.

Its not in the original manuel - but its in the updated manual in rule 3.2.5.
