strategic movement and transports?

Having an issue not being able to take back strategic moves when using transports. I can undo the move but it seems to stop at the last (originating) transport and then the option is greyed out like the unit was spotted by the enemy or something though this is not the case. ver 1.200

Feel free to mail me the save in question to take a look at. If you have a save just before doing the move as well thats even better.
My mail is

When doing that everything appears to be working correctly.
Please recreate the issue and mail me the save game as I cannot seem to duplicate the problem.

I have this same issue as well. It's really noticible if you try to move units to NAfrica and then take back the move. They get "stuck" on the transport and won't go back to mainland Germany.

This is strange. With the save game you sent me I see you doing the following moves:
- HF from WG to Baltic Sea
- 1 TRS from WG to Gulf of Finland
- 2 TRS from WG to Baltic Sea
- 1 INF from E. Prussia to Baltic Sea, back to EP, again to Baltic Sea, back to EP, then to Baltic Sea and finally to Gulf of Finland.
- 2 INF from W. Poland to Baltic Sea
and as you say - they cannot then be undone.
When I redo the same moves in a new game though the units can undo.
Are you seeing this every time - or is it only happening randomly? Based on your back-and-forth moving with the EP INF I am guessing the latter but its usefull for me to know for sure.
Thanks for helping figure this bug out.

I cannot seem to duplicate this either. When moving units from Germany to NAfrica I can undo the moves well enough. Please mail me a save game where units are stuck. Its almost surely the same issue but having more save games might somehow help me isolate the bug.

I will try with an international version and then adding v1.200 to see if I can somehow duplicate the issue.
You are very correct that my suggestion would be to try to reinstall.

Far as I know I'm using the US version , I just got it from Matrix via download. I'm gonna email you a fresh game , even solo against the AI , where the only thing I did was move 1 Militia from South Itialy to Tobuk , you can't take back the move.

Thank you for the save game.
As with the other save game I can see the issue in your save - but I cannot duplicate it when I start a game myself.
If others would post if they have or do not have this problem it would be helpful. Maybe we can somehow narrow down what the issue is by knowing who is experiencing it.
Apart from that we will obviously also try our best to see if we can figure it out by other means. Personally, I am puzzled right now though.

I was just able to duplicate the bug in both the Med and the Baltic from scratch using my 1.200 version. I've asked Keith to look into it and see if he can duplicate it. I don't see why the units would be unable to undo.

Sounds good Joel.
Maybe I have something special in my install that makes me unable to get the bug (stranger things have happened).

please tell me where you get your software condoms, I'd like a box please !
So this means I can wait for a hot fix and put my futile search for my CD on hold?

I am also having the same problem, so it must a new bug with the 1.200 patch. I've waited a long time for this patch so I'm going to play a game against the AI anyway just to see what happens.

Keith says there is a problem with units moving over a transport that has moved in the current turn. He will be making a fix for this, although the fix will likely make it so that if you move a transport and you then move a unit onto the transport (not over it but actually onto the transport), you will be able to undo the unit but not the transports move. Unfortunately the undo code gets very complicated and is not likely ever going to allow 100% of actions to be undone. I don't know how long it will be before a patch for this is available. Also, at this time Keith can't explain why some people can duplicate the move and others can't, so additional testing on the fix will be needed before we are sure that it improves things.

I was thinking of starting a new game and noticed this bug. I don't remember having the problem in the beta 1.087. I was thinking about reinstalling the beta but was wondering if anyone else could confirm it is a new bug.

Correct I didn't have the problem with the 1.087 beta either so whatever was changed between that and 1.2 in the undo code is likely the culprit

We have a fix for the undo problem now in test.
