FILE SET RHS 2.23 Released [Minor update]

RHSCVO v 2.12 is now uploaded to Cobra and testers.

It should be available from download sites fairly soon - and from Cobra - it should be daytime in Australia.

The Russian active variation is also now available.

The ship file is BIG - and I just fixed about 4000 lines of it. I want an application for an olympic typing contest.

RUSSIAN ACTIVE OPTION UPLOADED

RHSRAO is almost identical to RHSCVO.

It differs ONLY in these respects:

1) The Russians are active (not necessarily meaning bellegerant)

2) The Russians have submarines (which WILL sail if you let AI be boss - it thinks they are American or something like that).

el cid,

FYI, the file set posted and distributed last night/this morning was 'RHSRAO201.zip', said to be CV with Russians inactive. Just a thought - maybe the seeming corruptions were because we got the wrong file (i.e. before it was finished?).

Not sure.

There was never an RHSRAO 2.01. The first version was 2.12. Unless I made a typo! I tend to work 18 hours a day (counting modding) and sometimes I get tired!

I have incorporated reported issues - and lessons learned from testing - and some things for BBO - into a set uploaded as 2.13 for both CVO and RAO. If possible, all file sets will always be in sync - so the first release of BBO should be 2.13. You should usually find the same data in the same slot in all scenarios - unless it is scenario specific. [Thus Shinano is a carrier in CVO but a BB in BBO - logically enough]. If a ship is not used in a scenario it should be present but 9999 in the delay field. Thus - because I added the Amagi class - they are in CVO files now - even though the ships will never appear. [Amagi is my name for B-65 plan battlecruisers - because I have learned this plan was retained until AFTER the war began. See the thread on battleship availability.]

I have noticed some database errors in version 2.12:

- B1 Daitai/131 Kokutai arrives with 216 D3A2 -> should be 21
- G4M2e has 6" gun equiped instead of Ohka
- Ki-67 has 21" Mk 10 torpedo -> should have 18" type 91 torpedo

It looks like you might have the wrong pwhex.dat file loaded.

The new one came with the scenario files. If you copied it into the scenario folder, simply move (or copy) it to the main folder for your installation (not the art folder).

If you are unsure about where it belongs, look for the one that is already there, which will have an older creation date. Let me know if you need more help with that.

I received my test files over several hours time, (in which I slept some of the time), and I suspect as I was patching onto existing files, I corrupted my scenerio files..I have requested fresh file from Cobra, (when he wakes up.)
I was beginning to think neither he nor Sid ever slept...........

Thanks - only put in the "slot" number for a faster fix.
Incorporated in all scenarios from version 2.14 - which will upload in a few minutes.

People with true errors (as opposed to philosophical errors) can directly send them to me. I will fix them instantaneously for the next two days - and within a day normally. And if you send me an error you will get the repaired file by direct reply. trevethans@aol.com

RHS has a different philosophy re "stability" and we seek CLEAN data over "exactly the same scenario." A change that ONLY changes a data field from obviously wrong to obviously right is not subject to any review - it is just adopted and then distributed.
