i want to alter the color of some of the icons especially the marines when in the jungle. hard to see sometimes. i can't find the icons. any help appreciated[:)]

There is a set of improved infantry icons available at the Depot in the ModSwapper area. I lightened all the various Infantry Icons to make them stand out on the maps better.

Yeah, the newer infantry icons are easier to see. Of course, it helps setting "number ALL units" in the preferences.

Okay, i'm now a member. do i need Mod swapper to do this? i downloaded the file you pointed out and its sitting on my desktop. what do i do? Sorry i'm not a computer literate person, just use it to play my war games, SPWAW becoming one of my favorite....[:)]

Yes, you use the ModSwapper program, which is included with the game. You'll find it in the main Steel Panthers folder.
