Is there a game editor for Gary Grisby's War in Russia?
I would like to know if it is downloadable and where, and if there are Web sites dedicated to the game.
Thank you very much,
Silvio Giberti

There's a builtin editor in the game, not necessarily very useful, but its there. There is also a "EDITWIR.EXE" that comes with the game that can be used to make changes to factories, weapons characteristics, etc.
It would be really nice if Matrix incorporated the functions of EDITWIR.EXE into the game itself, but thats probably too much to ask at this late date.

Yeah, I agree with with Silvio, a scenario editor SHOULD be included in the WiR remake. The German player is presented with the equivalent of Star Trek IIs Kobayashi Maru scenario, which was a no-win training tool for would-be starship commanders. Of course, we find out that the future Capt Kirk had won the scenario by changing the simulation program's parameters beforehand. Will be pre-existing WiR Edit work with the new game, or are we just stuck with the situations we are dealt? I always wanted to tinker with the starting German OOBs and even the starting date of Barbarossa. Why not explore the possibilities of a May 15 or June 8 X-Tag? For that matter, how about postponing the invasion until after the defeat of Britain, say, spring 1942? Glenn.
