Draft/FA Bug (Superstars galore)

First off I'd like to say great game Shaun, but I'm having a problem with the league I made.
I started a fictional MLB-based league, and quickly simmed through one year after making a few transactions. I reach the offseason before year 2, I do the 5 round draft and still everything is fine.
The FA period starts and I go browse the FA pool. I see a suprising amount of superstars available (5-8) hitters, (5-8) pitchers. On the list of free agents, almost all these players do not have last season numbers in the associated column. I click on these players and find out that they did not play in the league at all the first year. Things seem a little shady to me, but I chug along eager to play the second season. I chalk it up the computer being stupid and signing their guys to stupid 1 year deals.
Alright repeat the process, it is now the offseason before year 3. Everything compiles and its time for the amateur draft again. I click on the begin draft button and I notice (wasn't paying attention the first time) that 2300 players were created for the amateur draft. A little much for 5 rounds of fun
. I do the draft again, again I don't notice anything abnormal about the players in the draft. They all seem to be prospects, no superstars created into the draft pool.
It is time for free agency part two, and the problem reappears. Even more superstars with no previous history, and also excellent prospects in the FA pool, that were definitely not available in the draft. By this I mean a player that's 19 years old 30/40/30 80 potential. To make it worse there's about 10 of these superprospects that can easily be signed as FAs.
Anyway, I think this is a result of the amateur draft generating players for a initial dispersal darft. I don't exactly understand why they don't appear in the draft pool, but appear in the FA pool. Either way it's a pretty big game killer.
Edit: Included picture of FA Pool sorted by Stuff. You can see that only 2 of the top pitchers actually have experience in the league.
