Africa Corp surrender on first turn?

I was playing my first game today and after causing some severe casualties against the Soviets on the first turn, I get the message that the North African theatre has shattered! After the first turn! (yes, I was playing the first scenario (1941))
Has this happened to anyone else? Is it a bug or just extreme bad luck?

This has been a fairly common problem, typically after the Italian Front HQ was moved it seems like. Did you move it first, or was it left alone? Also, did you remove any significant units from it? The odds of it shattering are supposed to be no more than 2%, but if the HQ is moved it drops the readiness which in the current version seems to make it much more likely to shatter. Otherwise, you may have been very unlucky, I guess.

All I did was to look at it. Das all. Didn't even touch any of the units.

First, thank you for some great gaming.
Mine did the same thing. All I did was add a few units from the West Front.
Is it possibe for the Afrika Korp to win in N. Africa and show up in the Caucass moutains?
Also are you guy's going to continue improving the game?

This one has been reported numerous times along with the replacement pool/early reinforcement bug. Yes Matrix will fix these problems. At least that is what I have read in other threads.

The very first game I played I have had the Afrika Corps surrendering on the first turn. Though it's never happened again so perhaps it was 1st time unlucky!
Though sometimes it's difficult to tell. It could be a combination of other cirumstances that could this Afrika Collapse. This what makes bugs so hard to pinpoint.
