The blizzard effects seem to be much more severe than I remember in the original. Any thoughts on that? I had heavily entrenched Germans in high supply areas getting attacked by single Russian units at odds of 300+ to 1!!! I would also agree with an earlier post I saw regarding readiness/supply. I would think it a bit premature to be making such an encompassing change to the game when it is still buggy.

Are these problems related to units that have moved and lost most of their equipment? There is a bug (which has been fixed) that led to the loss of all equipment in units with readiness under 50% that moved in the 1941 blizzard turns (instead of a portion of it). I am sure this loss would leave the units very weak. When I have tested the blizzard effects, I have been getting reasonable results where the unit had not moved, which is why I am asking. Or if you have a save game from before the attack, could you e-mail it to me to look at?
Thanks much.

I noticed that but only on the first and possibly the second turn of the blizzard. I was walking over armoured units will little difficulty. The numbers quickly leveled out to a reasonable level.
Of note: Historicaly speaking the Russians had an huge advantage over the germans durring the first winter. The only troops that were equiped with proper winter gear were the SS divisions. Everyone else was wearing either summer gear or unsutible winter gear. There was a massive supply problem when it came to uniforms and especialy boots in that first year.
