Can't install General

Dear Guys,
I bought a used SPWAW General's edition. It's on the cd with cd number and order ID numbers, (in a case both with Matrix artwork, etc.); but these do not work for a serial number when I try to install. The seller does not have the original serial number etc. Isn't there some way to get this to install?
