Problem With Saved Game In 1.801

I just upgraded to 1.80 from v1.6 and then added 1.801. Now I cannot load the saved game that I have been playing for 10 months. Any ideas to deal with this? I hope the answer isn't start over....

More information please. What happens when you try and load the game? Is it PBEM or against the AI?

The entire game exits when I attempt to load the saved game file. It is not a PBEM game I am trhying to load.
