Short version: Guy buys a laptop on ebay. It doesnt work. Seller refuses to refund the buyers money.
Seller forgot to delete the harddrive on the laptop. Buyer creates this blog using stuff found on sellers harddrive to get even.
Priceless.

Forget commenting about ebay, thats not the point of the first post. Check the site out. That is the funniest thing I have seen in years, and the best justice in the world. Bad guys stuff is posted all over the web, from his own hard drive. Sweet revenge. I hope everyone on the forum goes to the site!

I buy and have even sold stuff they before and its not as bad as you guys make it out to be. of course there are idiots like the one in the story, but 95% of the other auctions go off without a hitch and both parties are happy.
I think a lot of people make mistakes when they go there though and don't know some general ideas of how to bid on items. for example, if a deal is too good to be true and you see that the seller has negative or a very low transaction count, well its an obvious sign that something is wrong. therefore I'll never bid on something when a seller has very few transactions, like a minimum of 100 and they need to have a 98% positive feedback (even then I look at what the negative comments were).
you guys could be missing out on some cool stuff otherwise. like this

Revenge is a dish best served cold. And its very cold in cyberspace. Seriously, the Police are investigating it as a hate crime? I wounder if they would be investigating it if the guy name was Bob Smith?

how can they investigate it as a hate crime? my understanding of hate crime laws are it is something racial or ethnic. this appears to be simply a juvenile kid trying to unload a broken laptop on someone using lies and then having to pay for it when it backfires.
if anything it would be libel, but I have a feeling that the accusations would easily stand up to scrunity and besides that its a civil law and not a criminal one.

After looking at the related blogs, looks like the BBC is getting a trashing because a reportor suggested a hate crime without understanding whats going on.
New reports in other clippings posted on the web suggest the the bad guys threats of legal action were diminished by claimes of a similar e-bay fraud on a I-pod, paid for but never delivered, broken or otherwise. Hard to go to court when it exposes you being found out for all your PRIOR bad dealings. He He He He....
