This was a POvPO test by Bob Cross (aka Curtis Lemay) of his France 44 Cobra scenario.

When I download the file, the picture frame is the same size as in the past above.

It would be better if it were larger.

When you buy your TOAW III, you can do the same thing with the larger pictures that are taken at each turn's end.  Of course, you may need a new HD, if you start storing a bunch of them...[;)]

It is easy enough to expand the graphic sizes when putting the movie together.  So with the above movie, you would double the size of each frame before stringing them together.

EDIT: Also, you can slow down the frame clip too. [:D]

It's good to see more coherent front lines. Would I be correct in saying that keeping a more continuous front line is one of the improvements to PO play now?

Cheers, Neilster

This is highly dependent upon the scenario. Bob's scenario is has higher than average unit density, and better than average set of defined formational objective tracks for the PO. So his lines progress very smoothly in the movie. Scenarios less well designed, or with very low unit densities may not show as well. We can only give the tools to designers. It will be up to them to utilize them. Fortunately, there is a large pool of talented designers out there who can do exactly that.

There were several changes that should help with that.

Elmer should now spread out when contact with the enemy is made instead of piling up on one hex. Elmer understands when he's being flanked. He also understands when his supplies have been cut off, and attempts to get back into supply.
