Help Funky Screen Fonts

Hi
I am running Windows ME and all the screen fonts in the game are unreadable. Any ideas?

This was reported to happen with PAC too. No solutions so far, the only theory is it may be because of a lack of memory. How much free ram do you have in a DOS box under Windows? It could be WinME; I read a review which said it was more unstable for DOS programs than Win95/98.
