Support Units

Hello, I'm back with even more stupid questions!
1. What are the benefits of Command Cars? In the encyclopedia it says something about experience, but I don't quite understand it. When is the bonus applied? When the HQ is loaded inside the vehicle, or does it suffice that the vehicle exists on the map? Which units get to benefit?
2. Does the Command Post have an effective radius, or doesn't it matter where you place it on the map? Are Command Posts cumulative? Is it better to have two rather than one?
3. Is it a good idea to buy a second or third HQ unit?
4. Do officers ever get promoted? Will a 2nd Lt ever rise to 1st Lt?
5. Why do I always only have 1st and 2nd Lieutenants in my army, but never any Captains and Majors?
6. One of my tanks blew up during deployment phase. Is this supposed to happen? I reloaded over and over, but as soon as I clicked on any unit, that particular tank would always blow up.
7. One of my tanks (a PzKpfw IIIh) has no main gun. Just two machine guns. The gun was already missing in the deployment phase. Does this represent equipment breakdown, or is it not supposed to happen?
