I have forgotten to mention that Franco's Alliance is even easier to install than before. It now installs like a patch. Nice and easy.

Sweet! :) I have been holding off starting new games waiting for the new patch and your 2.4 mod. For anyone hesitating whether to spend these precious five minutes downloading and installing the mod, I can assure you it gives a new lease of life to the game! Again, big thanks for all your work Leb!

Jon,

There is no need to place the Franco executable into the save folder if that is what you did. When you download my mod it comes as a zip. So unzip the 1 file to the desktop. From there when you run it you should see the screen below. It has the instructions to install, but perhaps you misunderstood line 2 that says "copy and paste where you like to store your games" You must have thought I meant where you like to store your SAVE games. That's not what I meant. I was refering to the place on the hard drive you like to put all your PC games. Some people just use the default c:\program files\  area. I prefer to use a separate area to store all my games, which is c:\games\  In any case, what you have to do is copy and paste THE WHOLE GAME to your games area. That probably will be right next to your original copy of GGWAW. Once you have 2 copies of GGWAW you rename the copy to Franco's Alliance v2.4 as I describe in the instructions. I think from here you should be able to get it installed. It appeared you just got confused on the making a second copy part.

Or the alternate method if you don't mind the 10 minute wait would be to reinstall the game from the CD. When you do this method when it comes to the part where you would like to install it change the path name from c:\program files\GGWAW to c:\program files\Franco's Alliance v2.4 Notice I used program files. As I said above this could be changed to c:\games if you prefer that method. In any case as long as the game name is changed to my mods name this second install will not overwrite the first one. After you do this be sure to patch this new install. When doing so make sure you direct it to where the Franco mod is installed, otherwise you may just be repatching the original copy again. Then once the patching is done apply my Franco executable.
