Just wondering how many people you think are playing SPWAW these days.
I have no idea, anyone hazard to make a guess?

Well if you look at the posts with no replies. They show on average between 100 and 150 'views'. So... I would deduce that we have around 100 to 150 'players'.

I'd estimate, off of this forum, no more than 200. Off the Depot, easily above that. It's hard to tell by just a random site statistic. There are plenty who don't come to either forums and just play by themselves, alone, devoid of contact by other human beings. I'd guess at least 500 casual and regular players that play this game semi-regularly.

Gee, here I thought this was a REAL small market for this game. I guess the generals edition had somethign to do with this.

So SPWaW has a market twice the size of the entire strategy gaming market in it's entirety. Cool. Something to put on the old resume.

You can find SPWaW forums based in Japan, the US, Poland, Germany, etc. I am guessing there are quite a few of us out there.

azrealick, you really put SPWAW on your resume? I mean, that will score points with me perchance I'm the one screening the resumes but most managers will think you are a nutter. Actually, I also think you are a nutter.

Actually, it's gotten me two girlfriends, a brand new car, and a horde of books that I've not had the time to dig through. I've been working steady since I was 15, so my resume tends to not get used for jobs. Not bad considering I haven't been playing for all that long really.

I used to play the original Steel Panthers, and started playing again a few months ago.  I downloaded the most current edition of SPWAW.  Id like to play a megacampaign but don't want to buy the General Edition.  The new equipment, additional units and increased realism are great inprovements.  I definately plan playing this game until a superior WWII game comes along.
 
 
Anyone have a megacampaign they want to unload on PanzerGrenadier with an itchy triger finger?
