off season blues

I recently upgraded my league to 1.15 and immediately noticed a problem w/ the length of the offseason process. It takes close to an hour to run all the way through. Has anyone else encountered this?
I recently read a post regarding excess .psa and/or .psx files,might this be the problem? I have 25 seasons put into this league,I'd hate to lose it, but after 3 straight excruciatingly long and slow off seasons I'm at wits end.Any suggestions or advise would be greatly appreciated .
