[:'(] Just been looking around at a few of them, including Olympic 45, Taipei 2015, Grenada 83, and Cherbourg 44...

I'm playing my fav of the TOAW series...the WP attack against WG...I loved that one and it's one of the few which stuck in my mind. I can't actually remember if I ever won as WP?!

Just playing about with the tutorials - such a long time since I played this I have forgotten everything!

Had a look at the overlord scenario's but looks too daunting at the moment even after playing BIN quite a lot recently.

Will flit around the scenarios for a while before settling on a proper game. Only just printed off the manual and that looks like a couple of nights reading on its own.

Played the Barbarossa 41 scenario for a while last night. It would ALWAYS crash with XP using COW. Last night it did not so I'm one happy camper right now. [:D]

As soon as I finish with all the Tutorials (a week or so?!) - mt first stop is Market Garden! 

I love that the Scenerio has the whole battle - not just some seperate Scenerios for each "drop zone".  I was just getting to fire-up an old Win '98 system just so I could play my old Market Garden from the V For Victory Series by Atomic Games because it is the only one I ever saw that did all the "drop zones" in one Scenerio.

Let's see if I can do what history could not - go a bridge too far - and make it

I played the red vs blue tutorial, got trounced, then tried the Korea tutorial, and the game ended with a commie victory, just as I had reconquered half of SK[:@]

Not having played this, I dove into the rules for interface info and then immediately played a couple turns of the Korea intro scenario and then moved onto the Tannenburg tutorial- without reading any of the tutorial info. Played the Russians and promptly got my face slapped on turn 2 by the Germans.

Admittedly I haven't read any of the fine points of unit usage, but having gotten my feet wet, I will now go back to the rules and read them. A lot of what I saw will now make sense and will cement for me what is contained therein.

Of course it may take a lot more effort to win as the Russians in Tannenburg since the Germans attack with a terrible vengence. My feeling is it will take more than a reading of the rules to figure how to the play the Russians properly, but then that will be part of the fun... [:)]

It might be better to let the Russians set up a defense from the start, dig in and try to fight the Germans that way, even then it my be difficult for them to hold out.

To start, you might want to try Crete as the Commonwealth. That scenario is VERY hard for the Germans and is both short and simple. Gives you the chance to get a handle of the tactics of defence and counterattack.

playing one of the Italy/Sicily ones vs the PO, which I have to say is vastly superior to the old PO.  I lost most of my beloved 3 ID in the first two turns and then darn near got tossed back into the sea altogether--well played elmer...well played...but I won't be so easily had next time!  Evidently someone taught elmer how to flank[:D] 

I'm working on a PBEM game of Tobruk '41, where the MRPB has been set to 3, Sitrep off, No Borders and High Supply on, and am going to save it one-click from ending turn one as the CW. That way, if I can get anyone to play it with me, using an honor rule of no watching of the replay, I'll be ready to save, name and ship it. (Hint, hint, Brian). Alternately, I would be happy to take the Axis in this one, started under the same modifications.

In the meantime, until some intrepid soul steps up and offers me their neck...I mean, a game...I suppose I'll just have to dedicate my time toward finishing off my two Europe Aflame games that I still have going under CoW...

I'd also like to try Barbarossa '41, with high supply on, no borders off, and an MRPB of 2. Either side in this one would do.

I suppose I should copy this to the opponents wanted. I'm tired of standing on the side watching everybody else's dance card fill up, and not having anyone to tango with...[;)]

Korea 50-51. An old classic, and a good way to check all the improvements.

I surfed into the Matrix website yesterday (to download Lebatron's wonderful GGWaW mod, but nevermind ) - and what do I see on the front page if not TOAW III? Needless to say, my credit card came out real quick! Only had a few hours to play yesterday, so I fired up:

Red Lightning 88 - An excellent scenario, and from playing 3 turns as NATO, it would appear that the Pact is very aggressive on the attack - even a bit too aggressive, leaving several HQ's exposed to direct attack on the Southern flank. By turn 3, Bremen, Hamburg, Kiel and Hannover had fallen, and NATO was taking a pounding. The southern front was holding though, and the airborne invasion of the Ruhr was contained. Great fun!

Balkans 13 - Bulgaria vs. the Rest playing as Bulgaria. A hard nut to crack. The PO appears to be more aggressive here too - the Serbs started going heavily on the offensive even before Romania and the Ottamans join in, disrupting my advance into Serbia. (My main thrust was against the Greeks) Next time I will be more careful and limit myself to attacking in one theatre. (I.e. Thesaloniki)

Overall, it appears the team has done a great job! Big thanks! (Still need to play more though)

I am also playing Barbarossa 41. But I am about to lose the battle. After this this is so much to choose from I will most likely play several at once.

Getting mildly trounced.

i just finished the tutorial Kpass, played a draw as gmen, glad i was not more agreesive as the allies come on strong late in that scenario. you must be careful not to poke your neck out to far in this game as it can be cutoff before you know it.[:D]
