Assigning Formations in the Editor?

Hi,

No doubt I have been trying to do this the wrong way, and a very long winded way[;)]. But how does one assign formations to individual units in the forces editor?

Assume I have a long list of battalions that I have created on the left-hand side of the right-hand window in the forces editor. If you follow me[;)]. All are unassigned. I now wish to assign each battalion in turn to a large number of different formations. The aim is to call up each battalion in turn and then assign it to its appropriate formation.

What is the quickest, simplest way of doing this?

Thanks for your help,
All the best,
Kip.

Click on the "display current force" button. It looks like a flag. Now you will see your battalions on the right side of the screen.

If you wish to have the battalions join different formations, start clicking the "unassigned" button from the BOTTOM and work your way up. If you click each "unassigned" button, each battalion will have its own formation.

(If you want them all to join the same formation, click the TOP "unassigned" button. Your battalions should now all belong to "1st Formation")

Now click the "display current formation" button. It looks like a star. You can now modify the settings of your formation(s).
