The Commander and Webmaster of
KampfGruppe have been kind enough to donate a room in our TeamSpeak server for the use of COTA players. There will be a room specifically for your use. PM me for the IP and password to the server. I check this forum at least 3 times a day so I will be quickly able to respond to requests. Alternately you can contact me on MSN Messenger at
agcent2@hotmail.com for the server information.

Nice work! Teamspeak works very well in Steel Beasts (4-8 players), so this game should be a piece of cake for it.

It allows a group of people to use headphones/mic to talk with eachother during a game. It runs in windows and is seperated from the game itself, so there shouldn't be any problems using it with COTA.
What it's really useful for is the period of time before you connect with a game, so that you can communicate with the other players through whatever technical issues come up.
I'm not sure how useful it will be in COTA, though.. (that is until coop is added

) Talking trash, I guess [:'(]

We use TS for working through technical issues "What's your ip?" etc. also for jaw-jacking, talking trash, carrying on. We have a good group of guys, dedicated wargamers, Combat Mission mostly but more and more converts to the AA series.

Teamspeak is the best place for finding opponents for MP games.
"Face-to-face" is by far the best way: ever tried setting up a game up via email? (RedMike!!)

Even during singleplayer it can prove handy. You can talk with the others about your next move or ask what the others would do in a particular situation...

TeamSpeak and Vent is used extensively in FPS games and should pose no problems with these games. I have been in servers with over 30 players in FPS and no problems occured. Thanks for the server.

Well, I kept driving him crazy with my geRRRRman accent. I've been using that as a secret weapon for a while now, since I figured an opponent can't concentrate on giving orders, that way !
J/K !! [:D]

Hi all, just a small note. In my virtual sim community (usvn.net) with Falcon4/AF; Ghost Recon and Dangerous Waters among others, we use "Ventrilo" voice comms. You can download both server-side and client versions. (its free) We tried both (even in my old community Seawolves.org) and Ventrilo tops. To use the server-side version, run it (you will see your MSDOS box pup up, just miminize it) and then start your client version, then type in your own IP in server IP box. You also get a call when some one joins your server (the reason for the phonetic tab).
Here“s the link:
Ventrilo
In the paid version, you can add rooms with passwords etc.
Enjoy and good hunting!
Red...out.
