A question on the future of the engine

I don't know if this has ever been discussed at Panther before, so I just thought I would throw it in...

Do you imagine anytime in the future putting in Co-Op play? For more than 4 players, perhaps? Would the engine handle such a thing (it already has online player versus player)? Is it feasible?

I ask only because I was thinking about how cool it would be to get together with a few people and dish out units...one overall commander (decided by players) and then subordinates given orders to hold this line or defend that line...delay from x to y etc.

Just a thought.

Really enjoying this, though. Fantastic game and very cool engine. Maps look awesome.

I've played the first tutorial using the manual. Then on my own. Then on my own with realistic orders delay and now as the Germans with realistic orders delay. Love it. love it. Love it.

That would be amazing... I remember having a lot of fun with multiplayer battles like that in Sid Meier's Gettysburg game.

Yes we call it Team Play. It's on the wish list but unlikely for a little while yet. We have the hooks already in the design to handle it but it will still be a BIG job to implement.

You'll have to find a way to implement delay in Teamspeak, won't you :)

Or how would the commander tell his subordinates what to do?
