WIR general protection exception

whenever I run WIR I get a message saying a general protection exception has taken place how do I remedy this problem?
It sounds like you are suffering from low memory. No matter how much your computer has, WIR will only run in the first 640k, with your autoexec and config files possibly loading things into this. There are a number of old messages about freeing up memory, especially over in the PacWar messages. If you can't find anything, let us know what your OS is and the people here can probably provide help in fixing it.Originally posted by Warhammer:
