Petition Of Recognition

This topic is for people to simply post their name or handle in support of Marshall.

If you are not supportive of Marshall, please don't post here. Start your own thread if you like.

By posting in this thread, you are affirming that in your opinion, Marshall is doing the right thing to provide a stable, featureful version of Empire in Arms and that you support Matrix Games in allowing him to complete the project to his satisfaction before release.

Signed, no doubt. But I think that Marshall don't need support, he knows that is making a good job. The people are impatient, but the game will be good and then he close many mouths.

Just one thought. Hope it wil be the first Matrix (or PC) game, which wont need ANY patch right after its release. This could well explain the long dev time.

Marshall yes, Matrix no. Matrix is the bridge between developers and the community and failed both in this case. Had Matrix done a better job here Marshall would have taken less flak and the community would have developed reasonable expectations. So keep moving forward Marshall, thank you for allowing us to take part in the development by hearing us out.

Marshall and I are good friends and we have never done anything we didn't first talk about and then move on together. This game is a monster and its just that simple and it will be complete only once Marshall and myself are happy with it.

Why not?. I think that anything is perfect, and everything can be improved. There are many campaigns: The Seven Years Wars, The War 1740-1748, even the Spanish Sucession War... And the dark bug, always hidden...

Well that would be great. Not to mention the wars fought on napoleonic principles although with a bit more modern weaponry, Crimean War, War of 1859, hungarian freedom fight 1848-49 etc.

Kudo's to Marshall for taking on this project. I'm a WiF guy first, but since EiA is in the same family I've been keeping an eye on this one as well. Looks like it will be loads of fun. I appreciate what Samurai has said on behalf of Marshall. I am not a programmer, but I can certainly understand how a project of this magnitude is rife with "surprises" that could not have been predicted and need to be solved before the game is complete. My message to Marshall is: Ignore the impatient whiners, keep plugging away at your own pace, release the game when it is done. Most of us have plenty of other things in our lives to entertain and occupy us while you put in the finishing touches.

Marshall bought me a beer at Origins one year so I am his friend for life! I may also inadvertently slowed things down a touch by saying 'you only have one chance to make a first impression, so make sure you do it right' for which I apologize.

Programming and debugging a game like this is freaking hard and a complete labor of love for the developer. I would suggest that all you should do is support him during the ordeal and be constructive in your comments.

I support him 100%.
